Monday, March 13, Square Enix released a trailer for Bravely Default’s newest addition, Bravely Default: Fairy’s Effect.
The game will be similar to Bravely Default’s prior released for 3DS in 2012. This leads us to believe the new game will use a turn based battle system as well as some sort of job system that allows players to customize jobs by combining them. Many say there are aspects of the game similar to Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem.
In this Mobile RPG, it appears the story will follow four elemental crystals. It is also believe that a fairy named Rinne will be an important part of the story. The game was announced last year, when we saw screenshots of the game. But since then, developers had been quite silent. Recently, a beta player announced that there would be five main classes: The Black Mage, The White Mage, The Hunter, The Knight, and The Thief. The time period in the game will be known as “The Great Fall.”
This week, we got a full trailer for the game. It is in Japanese and doesn’t give much gameplay, but we can see that it has the whole Bravely Default aura about it. Take a look for yourself at the new trailer below.
The game will be released first in Japan this summer and will reach other countries, US included, sometime after.
