It is pretty clear after Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was officially unveiled at Ubisoft’s E3 conference that there is a lot of excitement surrounding the game. That’s why it makes sense that GameStop would want to lock down an exclusive deal to sell the newly revealed Collector’s Edition for the title.
The Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Collector’s Edition includes a copy of the game, a six-inch figurine, a dozen collector cards, and CD of the official soundtrack for the game. If you decide to pick one up from GameStop, it’ll run you $100 bucks.
The figurine that comes as part of the Collector’s Edition is a replica of Rabbid Mario. In addition to that model, there will also be individually sold figures of Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and Rabbid Yoshi. Each one is priced at $40, so gathering the whole set is going to prove a little costly.
The arrival of the Rabbids in the Mushroom Kingdom has set Mario’s world on a path toward devastation. Mario’s gang and their Rabbid Doppelgangers will need to team up to save the day. Kingdom Battle features a turn-based combat system with some dynamic battle mechanics designed to shake up the gameplay. Between encounters, players will need to solve puzzles and explore the quasi-open world to unlock more powerful weapons.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is scheduled to arrive August 29. The game is available to pre-order right now, but as we mentioned above, GameStop is the only retailer with the Collector’s Edition available.
