Users Reportedly Receiving Codes for Access to Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Alpha on PC

In our most recent story about Star Wars Battlefront 2, we mentioned that a Beta is scheduled for the game sometime before it launches. Now, it seems, users have been receiving emails which contain a code granting them access to an Alpha version of the game on PC.

The news originated on NeoGAF, where users report that the start period for the Alpha begins tomorrow, June 29. As of now, there is no end-date posted. The same users have also revealed that the file size for the Alpha is approximately 7.3gb.

Neither EA nor DICE has made an official announcement regarding the Alpha testing period. That said, the company’s community manager, Mat Everett, stated in a post—it has since been removed—that a Battlefront 2 Alpha test would be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. He later indicated on Twitter that this wasn’t accurate.

We’re still not certain when the Beta testing period will begin. But hey, if you’re on PC and you’ve been following Battlefront 2 for a while, you might want to check the inbox associated with your EA accounts. Star Wars Battlefront 2 officially launches on November 17. We’ll update this story if anything new pops up.
