Sony’s E3 Show Surprised with New Shadow of the Colossus Remaster/Remake

Sony dropped a surprise bombshell during their E3 Conference that just about no one saw coming. Smack in the middle of their show, a trailer popped up that revealed a remake or remaster of Shadow of the Colossus.

We’re not quite sure yet whether it is just a remastered version of the game, or if it will be a complete remake. The visuals looks markedly better than the original by today’s standards, though.

The video featured mostly panning shots that emphasized the enhanced fidelity of the project, which appeared significant. The trailer is available in 4K, to really drive that point home.

Little else is known about the project for the time being. That said, we did get a release window of 2018, which means we’re probably looking at a likely mid-summer to fall release for the game next year. We’ll update this story if anything new crops up.
